Oh, Wiseman, about spain, I saw a big poster in Budapest, Espanol 1950 the Decade of Revolution... or something like that... An exhibition..

Espa?ol means Spanish, although nothing awesome happened in the 50s I think... Maybe they meant what republicans called "revolution" (as in Cuba), but that was much eariler and that was the ruin of Spain actually, long story. Spain started recovering its power in the 60s, and what Europeans call the Spanish miracle happened from 1985 to today.

I don't laugh when somebody dies, I even feel a bit sad if I see on the news that somebody I didn't know died; but torturers, that's something different. I'd have them taste their own medicine. I can be very Machiavellian.

Yeah, because seal murderers are as innocent as my ass. I do mind people dying; I'd rather have nobody dying, including people I don't even know, including junkies and all kinds of undesirable people ? but people who willing tortured humans or animals do not deserve to live, and their crimes should not go unpunished.

I support death penalty. But I don't want it too badly ? I can live without, if most people don't want it, so if you'll feel hapier, mentally edit where I said "they should die a horrible death" and change it by "they should never see the light of the sun again and die of old age in a dungeon". In both cases, proper punishement would be administered.

I supported the war on Iraq, if only it wouldn't have been botched (plus all the bad luck and the understimated enemy). Also notice I was basing my decision on foreign data that ended up being wrong. Go after the liars if you want an explanation.

Like I said in the Iraq war thread on that day, I stopped supporting the war after a Spanish periodist was killed in Iraq by allied morons, but that was just the last event that added to a set of previous events that, together, changed my mind.

And I wholeheartedly agree! Humans, being smarter and having a higher degree of consciousness, are more important life forms. Maybe even 20? more important. I'd apply the death penalty (or perpetual jail in some dark jail, whatever people likes better) to people who have willingly taken very valuable lives, like 3 people or 60 animals (don't take this as a general rule anyways). And those who killed hundreds of seals are no better than those who kill everybody in a bus. Don't you think so?

IRT Wiseman: Don't forget the shitty weapons that were issued. The Brits were given guns that jammed in sandy conditions. It really was a poorly thought out and resourced war. Still, they've done a fairly good job rebuilding the country. If only those Shia people would shut up for a bit.
